

First Prize Winner from the Competition“OIC InsurTech Award 2025”
School of Information Technology KMITL congratulates our master’s degree students for winning the first prize from the “OIC InsurTech Award 2025” competition organized by the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC). The award ceremony was held on August 25, 2025, at the Advanced Insurance Institute meeting room, Ratchadaphisek Road, Bangkok.
The OIC InsurTech Award 2025 project is not only a contest but also a platform for nurturing new innovators by connecting insurance knowledge with modern technology. It reinforces OIC's commitment to elevating Thailand's insurance industry into a sustainable digital era. This competition attracted overwhelming interest, with over 400 teams applying, divided into two categories: students and general public, competing for a total prize of over 500,000 Baht.
Mr. Putbutr Panyaprachum, master’s student in Artificial Intelligence for Business Analytics, School of Information Technology, KMITL, won the first prize and received 100,000 Baht along with a trophy for his work titled “Sxphia,” an innovation of an “Auto Insurance Telematics Platform.” This invention developed a vehicle-mounted sensor that sends distress signals to rescue units and relatives when accidents occur, reducing fatalities from unnoticed accidents. This work not only addresses the advancement of insurance knowledge but also showcases the potential of Thai students in leveraging technology to create social value.
