

First Prize in the Best Tourism Idea Category from the ReTourism Lab Competition
School of Information Technology, KMITL congratulates the undergraduate students of the school along with team members from various institutions who won the first prize in the Best Tourism Idea category from the ReTourism Lab competition organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The final round and award announcement took place on September 10, 2025, at the Tourism Authority of Thailand office.
The ReTourism Lab project was organized to promote and extend knowledge in responsible tourism to society and the environment (Responsible Tourism) towards innovative concepts for the TAT Academy partner network as well as interested parties.
The awarded project is 'Yeeping,' a Chiang Mai travel application that uses AI to recommend personalized and real-time travel routes and experiences based on local data to create fun, convenient, and sustainable tourism, as well as to promote the local community, economy, and culture.
The 'Yeeping' team consists of 3 members:Mr. Wathin Promfai(3rd-year undergraduate student in Data Science and Business Analytics, School of Information Technology, KMITL) along with friends from other institutions:Ms. Pimnapat Kuwutayakorn(1st-year undergraduate student, Faculty of Computer Engineering, Chulalongkorn University) andMr. Sawit Kosiyamphorn(4th-year undergraduate student, Faculty of Computer Engineering, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi)
